Bilingual Poetry Workshop

Whether you call it “bilingual poetry”, “lyric code-switching”, or “poetic translanguaging” the task is to have the meaning of a poem in one language carry over to another. This workshop will explore the why and how of that effort.

Instructor Bio: Sarah Degner Riveros is a single mother of five children who all make messes for the sake of art and who raise urban chickens together in St. Paul, Minnesota. She labors for social justice in the community and teaches Spanish at Augsburg University.
