He has also performed at slams at the Storyteller’s Lair. His stories range from growing up in the deep south to adventures\, and misadventures in other countries. \n \nLisa Mathews has traveled all of her life\, internationally\, culturally and culinarily —there’s nothing better than a run though a market in Cairo or an Indian taco at a pow wow. Trained in film studies\, Lisa’s world is a riot of color\, texture and complexity. \n \nPeter Bretl has performed at the Moth\, Uproar Comedy at BLB\, The Strike Theater\, and The American School of Storytelling\, where three of his shows in 2026 sold out.
