DESCRIPTION:This half-day hands-on workshop is an immersive dive into creating memorable stories both traditional (folk\, fairytale\, cultural heritage) and personal (Moth style or longer form) stories. \nIn this workshop we will look at transforming stories – personal and traditional by means of Immersive (point of view and./or description)\, deconstruction (breaking the story into parts)\, or braided (mixing personal and traditional elements) techniques. You can begin with any story – personal or traditional – and see how it changes as we apply the various approaches. \nThe workshop is at the Unitarian Chapel in the woods. His stories draw on his experience as a first-generation immigrant and college professor\, which might be funnier than you’d expect. \n \nBernadine Joselyn is the Minnesota-born descendant of white Protestant farmers and their settler forbearers. DESCRIPTION:Henry Kneiszel and See More Perspective will create a unique performance that blends poetry\, music\, and sound to explore themes related to the changing internet landscape\, finding beauty in a strange world\, wikipedia\, and bugs. \nPoets will read original work with sound and music woven in for texture. Henry is also a comedian and See More is also a hip hop artist and music producer. These influences shine through into the poetry and the result is a multidisciplinary show that is both experimental and accessible. \n  \nArtist Bios: \nHenry Kneiszel is a poet and comedian from Duluth MN who specializes in using absurd humor to explore modern problems. Their work has been featured in over twenty literary journals and has been performed at events such as the Art Shanty Projects\, the Barrel of Laughs Play Festival\, and the North Star Comedy Hour with Mary Mack. Their debut collection “It’s all too much I’m ready to become a Canada goose” is available in both written and audio formats. \nSee More Perspective is a Xicane interdisciplinary multimedia Hip Hop artist\, Spoken Word poet\, visual artist\, music producer\, and filmmaker. Their work is rooted-in and informed-by waves of Indigenous Mexican American art and activism\, storytelling\, and the Four Elements of Hip Hop.
